The Canadian Economics Olympiad (CEO) is Canada’s premier high-school economics competition and official qualifier for the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) and Economics Olympiad International Final Round (EO IFR)

The registration for the 2026 Canadian Economics Olympiad is now closed. Round 1 will take place online on February 21 at 7pm Eastern (Toronto) time.

All registered students should have already received instructions for Round 1. If you did not receive such instructions - email us ASAP.

On February 20, all registered students will receive the link to the testing platform and the code they need to register at the platform and take the test. If you will not receive such code by 10am on February 21 - email us ASAP

  • CEO Economics Part 1: Saturdays, 7:30–9:30 PM EST, from September 6 to December 20

  • Financial Literacy Part 1: Sundays, 7:30–9:30 PM EST, from September 7 to December 21

  • Part 2 will begin in January and continue until the CEO test date (to be announced later)

  • Part 1 focuses on the preparation, Part 2 will focus on practical questions and review

  • Classes are conducted online via Zoom and Google Classroom. All sessions are recorded and available for unlimited replay, so, you can join anytime, even after the course has started. The instructor will assign homework after each lesson. Please contact Lorvale Academy for any details.

    Recommended Prerequisites:
    Students are strongly encouraged to have already completed AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, as well as Advanced Functions and Calculus. Lorvale Academy also offers these courses upon request.
